750MC Formula 750 competitor Dick Harvey!!

Long time 750 Formula competitor Dick Harvey is recovering after having a stroke last week. Harvey a well known engine preperation expert has been doing a lot of work on the formula's new Fiat powerplant. VFS wishes him a speedy recovery.

History made at Silverstone in MGOC race!!

Darryl Davis and Nick Golhar made history at Silverstone on Saturday in the MGOC race, when they finished 1st and 2nd in their ZR models. This was the first time the ZR model was admitted to the MGOC race series.

A move to VW Cup racing for Nick Beaumont!!

Nick Beaumont the former British Touring Car Championship Production racer is planning a season of Volkswagen Cup racing as part of a two car team with reigning Class A Champion Steve Walker.

Brands to build a corner in tribute to Barry Sheene!!

Brands Hatch is to make a tribute to Barry Sheene by naming a corner after him. Sheene died last Monday after a long fight against cancer.

Daron Bland to return to ARP F3!!

Former ARP Formula 3 champion Daron Bland is to return to the series this season after a lay off due to lack of funds. Bland won the title back in 1998 in a Class B Reynard 863.

1172 50th Celebration at Silverstone!!

A 50th anniversary celebration of the 1172 Formula will be taking place this season at the 750 Motor Club Silverstone race meeting on the weekend of August 23/24. The club is hoping to attract as many cars as possible for static and/or track displays.

NEW MG XPOWER Clubmans Cup Race Series!!

The K Sports 1600 series has a new name for 2003. The MG XPOWER Clubmans Cup will be the new name. The category has reverted back to the clubmans name as a tribute to its long heritage of offering affordable racing in front engined prototype sports racing cars.

Racing school opens new circuit!!

The Everman Motor Racing School has opened a new 1.7 mile circuit in Leicestershire. The Everyman school which operates from Mallory Park has turned its Preswold Hall site into a closed circuit to host training and corporate events.

Maranello Concessionaires Racing Team RETURNS!!

A famous British racing team of the 1960's is making a comeback this coming season in the FIA GT Championship. The Maranello Concessionaires Racing Team which scored 24 international victories with privately run Ferraris between 1961 and 1967, is to return to racing after over 30 years.
The Ferrari UK subsidiary is to run two Ferrari 360 GT's in the N-GT class under the Team Maranello Concessionaires banner. The launch of the team will take place at Tower Garage in Egham Surrey on March 19th.

ERA racers could be racing later this year!!

The new ERA single seater racer built by Tiger Sportscars has been given a class in the BARC SE Single Seater Championship. The 1960s Fi styled Zetec-powered ERA, comes in kit form at £16,000 or at £23,000 ready to race form. The first car is due to start testing within the next week.

Three drivers from one family to race in same series!!

Peter Burnham is to be joined by his two sons Chris and Kevin, in the K Sports 1600 race series. All they need now is another car to join their fleet, so all three can race at same time.

Ward To lead two car Juno Racing Team!!

Chris Ward will lead an ambitous two car team in the Dunlop Supersports Championship. The former single seater champion will drive the new SS2 chassis, as the marque from Blackpool becomes the latest constructor to announce a Supersports challenge.

Jonathan Coleman to race Hillspeed Dallara F300 in ARP F3!!

Radical racer Jonathan Coleman tested a Rowan Racing Dallara F300 under the guidance of Hillspeed Racing.
If Coleman can find the budget he hopes to do a seasons racing in the ARP F3 with Hillspeed Racing, run by Richard Ollerenshaw. (ARP F3 series starts at Mallory Park on 30th March.)

14 Race Series for 2003 Pirelli Maranello Ferrari Challenge!!

A total of 14 races will be run over nine events for this seasons Ferrari Maranello Challenge. This is the best assembled calendar for a number of years. There are double headers at Brands Hatch, Donington Park and Castle Combe. As well as rounds at Spa (DH) and Zandvoort (DH).

Former Global GT Lights Champion to move to Sports 2000!!

Dave Mountain the former Global GT Light Champion is moving to the Sports 2000 Pro Series in a new Van Dieman Chassis. Dave will be looked after by long time friend and business partner Graham Hathaway.

Former ARP F3 Racer to continue in National Supersports!!

Former ARP F3 racer Simon Tate is to continue in the Dunlop National Supersports in 2003. Simon will continue to pilot his Nemesis RME 99 in as many rounds as funds permit.

Bigger Grids Expected For Sports 2000 Race Series!!

The Sports 2000 Championship is expected to feature larger grids than last season, in both the S2000 and Duratec-Engined Pro Series. Supersport constructor Chiron Cars is known to be entering a car in the Duratec series, with older chassis from people such as Neil Dukes (Royale RP42), currently under construction, being entered.
