  • Brands Hatch Superprix !!

  • More F5000 cars will be gathered together for the summer double header at Brands Hatch and Silverstone in July than since the haydays of the formula in the late sixes and early 70's. Nine drivers from New Zealand have been confirmed will be making the trip over for the summers double header !!

  • The Silverstone Classic already has some 100 F1 cars expected !!

  • The Silverstone Classic on 30th/31st July are targeting an entry of some 500 cars for their 17 race weekend. Up to 100 F1 cars are expected spanning six decades of Grand Prix racing !!

  • 26 - F5000 cars entered at Silverstone Classic !!

  • A total of some 26 - F5000 cars are entered in the Derek Bell Trophy race at the Silverstone Historic Classic on Sat/Sun 30/31 July. Along with nine cars over from New Zealand are 17 European based cars. Altogether a total of ten different marques are represented.

  • Ex Le Mans WINNER ! Andy Wallace to race GpC

  • Andy Wallace hopes a recent test for Motor Sport Magazine in Nick Rini's Group C Jaguar XJR-12D will lead to him doing a handful of races in the Group C/GTP race series in 2006 !! Andy had a one off outing in the Group C/GTP event at Monza in 2003, sharing a Jaguar XJR-10 with Justin Law and says he would relish the opportunity to have another go in the series.

  • Ex National Saloon Car Racer has run in Ex Surtees Lola T70 !!

  • Former National Saloon racer Richard Meins had his first run in the ex-John Surtees Lola T70. Richard raced his ex-Trevor Taylor/Peter Gethin T70 coupe in this years World Sportscar Master series !!

  • VSCC Secretary Stuart Pringle to leave for new post !!

  • Stuart Pringle will be leaving the Vintage Sports Car Club to take up a new post at MotorSport Vision as Motorsport Events Manager. Stuart will be responsible for astablishing the MSV race calendar with particular emphasis on building the historic events. Stuart has been secretary of the VSCC for the last six years.

  • Manx Classic back for 2006 !!

  • The Manx Classic will make a return after a four year break. This is due to the re-forming of the Manx Motor Racing Club. The three day event will run a different speed event on each day. The event is taking place on Thursday 20 April with a sea front sprint in Douglas, Friday a pursuit sprint on the Jurby circuit and finishes on Saturday the 22nd with the Liberty Frissell Hillclimb using part of the TT course climbing out of Ramsey.

  • HSCC 40th Birthday in 2006 !!

  • The Historic Sports Car Club is planning a two day race meeting at Silverstone in mid-May to celebrate its 40th birthday. The meeting is to include a race in the sprit of the inaugural 'Griffiths Formula' race, held at Castle Comge in May of 1966. Other celebrations include the early August meeting at Castle Combe and a meeting held at Croix-en-Ternois in Northern France !!

  • Colin Wright hoping to do more FF2000 in 2006 !!

  • Colin Wright is hoping to contest more rounds of the Classic FF2000 class within the Classic Formula 3 Championship next year, as well as some rounds in the URS FF2000 championship. He will also be campaigning his FF Merlyn in HSCC Historic FF1600 Championship !!

  • Knockhill Classic 2006 !!

  • Scotlands major racing circuit Knockhill is planing a festival of classic and historic motorsport for the summer of 2006. Plans are taking place for a weekend of displays, demonstrations and racing to ceebrate Scotlands motor racing heritage. The event is planned to take place in June or July to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the legendary Scottish team Ecurie Ecosse's victory in the 1956 Le Mans 24 Hours, when Ron Flockhart and Ninian Sanderson drove a Jaguar D Type for David Murray's Edinburgh-based team.

  • 1906 Renault to be star attraction at Autosport International !!

  • A replica of a Renault - AK90CV that Ferenc Szisz used to win the the sports first Grand Prix at Le Mans, France in 1906, will be the star attraction in the Historic Hall of the Autosport International. It will in a display representing 100 years of Grand Prix Racing.

  • The CTCRC to develop the former Pre 90' Touring Car Series !!

  • The Classic Touring Car Racing Club has developed the former Pre 90' Touring Car Series by alowing entries to owners of vehicles built before 1993. The series will be run independently and not part of the Classic Thunder Series and will be for cars similar to the clubs Classic Group 1 Championship.
